Dr. Maia Broussard - Veterinarian

Dr. Maia Broussard is a graduate of the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

She is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, certified PennHIP radiologist, and a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. She has a BA in Anthropology and a BS in Geology from Ohio University, and an MS in Geology from Duke University where she was a James B Duke Fellow.

Dr. Broussard has worked in small animal veterinary hospitals for over 20 years and has had animals in her life for as long as she can remember. After graduation, she practiced in a referral physical rehabilitation hospital for over a year and also has additional experience and training in behavior medicine.

Dr. Broussard is dedicated to making and keeping your pet a happy and healthy family member for as long as possible. Her special interests include preventative/wellness care, pain management, behavioral wellness and problem resolution, weight management, and rehabilitative therapy. She is particularly excited by the opportunities offered by new and alternative modalities, such as acupuncture and Class 4 Therapeutic Laser.

When not working, Dr. Broussard enjoys spending time with her dogs, Ruby and Blu Belle. Her outdoor interests include volleyball, rock climbing, hiking, and kayaking. She also loves to cook and read.
