Services
We’re a full-service veterinary hospital.
We are equipped with all of the latest technologies in veterinary medicine so that we can provide the best care available today. That said we will never push our clients into using expensive diagnostics and treatments just because they are available. We want to empower our clients to make informed decisions regarding their pet’s health.

Through our on-site referral practice, the Veterinary Dental Clinic of North Carolina, we are proud to offer the following advanced dental services:
- Endodontic therapy of fractured teeth
- Treatment of malocclusions
- Restoration of damaged teeth
- Oral surgery to extract diseased teeth
- Jaw fracture repair
- Surgical removal of oral tumors

Preventative Care
We offer comprehensive regular physical examinations that are customized to your pet’s particular needs. Immunization schedules are based on the most current research and individual risk factors for disease. We routinely test for the most common internal parasites and stress the need for adequate prevention of heartworms and intestinal parasites in all pets. As pets age, screening for the most common chronic diseases becomes an important part of the periodic wellness examination and consultation.

Chronic Disease Management
Oftentimes, especially as pets grow older, our routine diagnostic tests reveal chronic conditions such as kidney disease, thyroid disease, and other metabolic disorders. WAH routinely monitors many common health conditions and helps owners find the right treatment and management for their pet.

Urgent Care
We offer same-day urgent care appointments as well as emergency services for pets with an immediate medical need.

Surgery and Anesthesia
The veterinarians at Westside offer routine procedures such as spay and neuter, as well as specialized procedures including orthopedic and emergency/trauma surgeries. We utilize the most modern anesthesia and analgesia protocols to assure safe and pain-free treatment of your pet. We routinely monitor pulse oximetry, end tidal CO2, blood pressure, temperature and respiratory rates in patients under general anesthesia.
